THE BIGELOW
The Bigelow is 14’ Wide by up to 40’ Long, 448 square feet and can fit (20) 72 cell solar panels with average installed DC capacity of over 9,000 watts. Now available with up to a 12" increased interior wall height.

THE BIGELOW LITE
We take our standard Bigelow and put it on a 12’ wide floor, available in lengths up to 32’.
- Available with 66 cell panels with installed capacity around 8,800 watts on the 32’ model.
- CMP customers could see annual savings of around $1800/year (based on rates current 2/22).
- Versant (Bangor Hydro) customers could see annual savings of around $2000/year (based on rates current 2/22).
THE ST. JOHN
Have you ever driven through Aroostook County and noticed that everything just looks a little bit nicer than it does in the rest of our state? This shed is just that, it’s still 14’ wide and available in lengths up to 32’ like the Bigelow, it drops a little bit of usable space to accommodate a lower south wall to make the lines of the salt box design.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SOLAR
Each Maine Solar Shed is custom built for each customer using the best available equipment, industry leading inverter technology, and an eye for the aesthetic.
DELIVERY
Each sheds delivery is arranged through Backyard Buildings delivery team with set pricing available at time of proposal. We can deliver anywhere in Maine. Sorry, we do not ship out of state
STEEL ROOFING
Steel Roofing is Standard. Each shed comes with a screw down metal roof available in your choice of color. Composite (Asphalt) roofing is not available due to it’s weight, thanks for understanding.
DOORS
Each shed comes with a simple door, you get to choose location.
PINE SIDING
Our base models all come with locally sourced pine shiplap siding from Robbins Lumber, Searsmont, ME. Backyard Builidings is willing to pre-stain pine buildings though they recommend being prepared to re-apply stain after delivery.
SOLAR ENERGY MONITORING
Every solar system installed by Upright Energy includes online energy monitoring. Please note this function does require customer provided internet connection within 250’ of shed location.

OPTIONAL FEATURES
DOORS & WINDOWS
Customers work directly with Backyard Buildings to customize windows and doors from either a variety of options stocked on site or available at any builders supply. Yes, they do install windows or doors that you may have.
SIDING
Common siding options are Cedar Shingles, Steel Siding, and Vinyl Siding. If you have existing vinyl siding and can provide the manufacturer name they can match it. If you can bring a piece or a great photo they can come very close.
ELECTRICAL PACKAGE
Backyard Buildings provides several stock wiring packages for each shed ranging from the simple light and a couple outlets to full residential wiring, exterior lights, etc.
INSULATION
Backyard Buildings can pre-insulate floors if you think you may ever desire to insulate the building, full insulation and interior finishes are available as well.
WORKBENCHES, SHELVES & BEYOND
So many customers sheds have exceeded what we originally imagined these as. Have an idea? Just bring it up with the team at Backyard Buildings and if it can be done it’ll be done!
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
